Vedic Remedies
वैदिक उपाय
These sacred remedies honor Nirriti's ancient power of liberation and harmonize Ketu's spiritual depth, transforming the dissolution of the false into the revelation of the true root, the indestructible foundation of being.
Mantra
ॐ निर्ऋत्यै नमः
Om Nirritaye Namah
Recite 108 times on Tuesdays at sunrise, facing South, Nirriti's direction. For Ketu harmonization: Om Ketave Namah, 108 times on Tuesdays. The Ganesha mantra Om Gam Ganapataye Namah is also deeply beneficial for Mula, Ganesha removes the root obstacles that Mula must face.
Deity Worship
Nirriti, Ancient Goddess of Dissolution; Ganesha, Remover of Root Obstacles; Kali, Goddess of Liberation through Destruction
Worship at a Kali or Durga temple for Nirriti's aspect. Ganesha puja before any significant new beginning addresses Mula's tendency toward obstacles. Offer roots, tubers, and earth-grown things at the altar. Walk barefoot in a forest or garden as a direct devotional practice for Mula.
Gemstone
Cat's Eye (Lahsuniya) for Ketu
Natural Cat's Eye minimum 3 carats, set in silver, worn on the middle finger of the right hand on a Tuesday at auspicious muhurta after proper Ketu-energising rituals.
⚠ Cat's Eye powerfully activates Ketu energy, which for Mula can dramatically accelerate both spiritual growth AND the dissolution of material circumstances. Those not prepared for significant life changes should assess carefully. Consult Pt. Dr. Pankaj Madhav before wearing.
Yantra
Ketu Yantra, energise on a Tuesday during Ketu Hora. Place in the South direction of the home. A specific Nirriti Yantra, if available, is the most direct Mula protective and transformative tool.
Charitable Acts
- ✦Plant trees and tend root gardens, the most direct Mula charitable act
- ✦Donate medicinal herbs and roots to healers
- ✦Support archaeological preservation and ancient knowledge restoration
- ✦Give to orphanages and those disconnected from roots
- ✦Donate brown, tan, or yellow items on Tuesdays
Fasting
Tuesday (Ketu's associated day). Fasting during Ketu Hora on any day is particularly powerful for Mula. The practice of mouna (silence) combined with fasting is especially aligned with Ketu's silent, inward-directed energy.
Colors
Wear brown, yellow, or tan on auspicious days, the colors of roots and earth. Deep ochre and saffron honor both Mula's earth connection and Sagittarius's spiritual fire. Avoid harsh artificial colors that disconnect from Mula's natural, earthy essence.
