When Jupiter is placed in a Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th house) and is in its own sign (Sagittarius or Pisces) or in its exalted sign (Cancer), the native becomes fair-complexioned, golden-lustered, sweet-voiced, kapha-constitution, fond of water sports, insatiable in sexual urge, thirsty for knowledge, virtuous, charitable, blessed with a beautiful spouse, enjoying material comforts, and dies at 100 in a forest. This is called Hamsa Mahapurusha Yoga.

✦Condition 1. Jupiter conjunct Sun or Moon: Jupiter in Kendra + own/exalted sign, but conjunct Sun or Moon. Yoga effects are somewhat diminished. However, good effects come into place in Jupiter dasha.
✦Condition 2. Sun and Moon bereft of strength: Jupiter in Kendra + own/exalted sign, but Sun and Moon weak (debilitated, in enemy sign, or combust). Yoga effects are somewhat diminished in power. Person still attains happiness.
