आकृति शंख योग
4th and 7th Houses (Adjacent Kendras)
Classical Reference
01
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Chapter 36, Sloka 25-26 (paraphrased):
When all planets are confined to two adjacent Kendras, specifically the 4th and 7th houses, the native becomes wealthy, learned, well-versed in scriptures, fearsome, envious of others, and constantly engaged in earning money. This pattern is called Shankha (conch) Yoga.
Definition
02
All planets (Sun to Saturn, plus Rahu/Ketu if considered) are confined to two adjacent Kendras (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses) – specifically 4th and 7th houses (fourth and seventh houses). No planet is placed in any other house.Note: Shankha Yoga is specifically mentioned for the combination of 4th and 7th houses. This is a distinct shape of Gada Yoga.

All planets are only in 4th and 7th houses – hence Akriti Shankha Yoga is fully formed.
Planetary Condition
06
This is a specific type of Akriti Yoga – the planetary pattern resembles a conch (Shankha)
The name "Shankha" means conch shell – considered sacred and auspicious in Hinduism
Despite the auspicious name, the effects are mixed – wealth and learning come with envy and fearsomeness- 4th & 7th combination creates a strong link between home/happiness (4th) and spouse/partnerships (7th)
The person may be overly possessive about family and spouse- "Fearsome" nature is more emotional/possessive here compared to Gada Yoga (which was more self-centered)

Classical texts often give identical results for all Gada/Shankha variations
However, house meanings modify the expression of these effects
For example: "envy" in Gada Yoga is about personal status; in Shankha Yoga it's about family/spouse
