Akriti Hala Yoga (Moksha Trikona Variation)

आकृति हल योग (मोक्ष त्रिकोण संस्करण)
Moksha Trikona. 4th, 8th, 12th
Variations
01
Akriti Hala Yoga (Moksha Trikona Variation)[Classical Reference – Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Chapter 36, Sloka 53-54 (paraphrased):"When all planets are located only in the Moksha Trikona houses (4th, 8th, and 12th houses), with no planets elsewhere, the native becomes gluttonous, servile, blessed with friends, liked by people, living by agriculture, and tormented by poverty. This is the Moksha Trikona variation of Hala Yoga."]
Definition
02
All planets (Sun to Saturn, plus Rahu/Ketu if considered) are located only in the trinal houses other than the Trikonas – specifically, the Moksha Trikona (liberation triangle): 4th, 8th, and 12th houses. No planet is placed in any other house (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11). Planets may be distributed among these three houses in any combination.
Understanding the Pattern
03
Moksha Trikona means the triangle of liberation, spirituality, and transcendence
4th house – Home, inner peace, happiness, mother, emotional foundation
8th house – Transformation, secrets, longevity, occult, inheritance
12th house – Liberation, foreign lands, sleep, expenses, meditation
Together, these form the triangle of spiritual evolution and letting go
Understanding the Pattern
04
All planets in 4th, 8th, and 12th houses only (Moksha Trikona)
No planet in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th houses
Planets may be distributed among the 3 Moksha Trikona houses in any combination
All three Moksha Trikona houses must have at least one planet
Effects
05
1Gluttonous (overeats, indulgent in food, greedy for taste)
2Servile (servant-like nature, working for others, lacking independence)
3Blessed with friends (good companionship, supportive social circle)
4Liked by people (popular, well-liked, socially accepted)
5Living by agriculture (earns livelihood through farming, land, or natural resources)
6Tormented by poverty (suffers from financial struggles, never fully secure)

All planets are only in Moksha Trikona houses (4,8,12) – hence Akriti Hala Yoga (Moksha Trikona) is fully formed.
Important Notes
07
The name "Hala" means plough/yoke – symbolizing agriculture, hard labor, and servitude
This is the Moksha Trikona version of Hala Yoga (previous Hala were Artha – 2,6,10 and Kama – 3,7,11)
All three Moksha Trikona houses occupied means the native's life is focused on home/inner peace, transformation, and spiritual liberation- "Gluttonous" – due to planets in 4th (comforts of home/food) and 12th (indulgence)- "Servile" – due to planets in 4th (serving family), 8th (serving others in crisis) and 12th (serving in isolation/foreign lands)- "Blessed with friends" – this is paradoxical because 12th house (isolation) and 4th (home) – classical texts mention this effect specifically, perhaps through spiritual friends or hidden supporters- "Liked by people" – due to 4th (nurturing nature) and 8th (transformative healing)- "Living by agriculture" – 4th (land), 8th (inherited land), 12th (foreign lands for farming)- "Tormented by poverty" – despite planets in 4th (home comforts?), the native struggles because 1st (self-strength), 2nd (accumulated wealth), 5th (past merits), 7th (partnership wealth), 9th (fortune), 10th (career), 11th (gains) are ALL empty – only spiritual/transformative houses are occupied
Variations
08
Classical texts give identical results for all Hala Yogas (Artha, Kama, Moksha)
The common factor in all Hala Yogas: absence of planets in Dharma Trikona (1,5,9)
Without Dharma (righteousness, fortune, wisdom), the native suffers poverty and servitude regardless of which other houses are occupied
The specific expression differs:
– Artha Hala (2,6,10): poverty through lack of wealth and fortune
– Kama Hala (3,7,11): poverty through unfulfilled desires
– Moksha Hala (4,8,12): poverty through detachment and spiritual focus
