Vedic Colour Therapy

Vedic colour therapy (rang chikitsa) rests on the principle that each graha radiates within a specific colour band of the visible spectrum, and that exposure to the right colour, whether through clothing, decor, food, or sun-charged water, gently amplifies that planet’s benefic flow in the subtle body. Surya carries red and orange, Chandra carries white and silver, Brihaspati carries yellow, Shukra carries pure white and pink, Shani carries indigo and black, and so on.

Practical applications include wearing the colour of the day’s ruling graha during temple visits, surrounding one’s puja altar with the colour of the ishta-devta, and preparing solarised water in coloured glass bottles for daily consumption as a gentle daily upchaar.
