Revati Nakshatra

The Wealthy One, the prosperous, the nourishing

Revati, the final Nakshatra, is the culmination and completion of the entire zodiacal journey. Ruled by Mercury and presided over by Pushan, the divine guide and nourisher of souls, Revati represents the principle of completion, spiritual abundance, and the compassionate guidance that helps all beings find their way home. The fish symbol, two fish swimming in the vast cosmic ocean, speaks to Revati's essential nature: the freedom of the soul that has learned to navigate the waters of existence with grace and ease. Revati natives carry within them the accumulated wisdom of all 26 preceding Nakshatras, they have, in a cosmic sense, seen it all before. This gives them a remarkable combination of innocent wonder and deep soul-wisdom.

∞ Mythology

Stories & Deity Wisdom

Pushan, Revati's presiding deity, is one of the twelve Adityas and one of the most beloved solar gods of the Rigveda. He is the guardian of roads and travelers, the guide of souls to the afterlife, the protector of livestock, and the one who ensures safe journeys through all the transitions of life. Pushan lost his teeth when Virabhadra attacked Daksha's yajna, and thereafter could only consume soft foods. This detail speaks to Revati's gentle, nurturing quality: like a toothless grandfather who can only offer soft food, Pushan's nourishment is gentle, sustaining, and given with complete love. The most famous Revati story connects this Nakshatra to the end of the Dvapara Yuga, the great sage Revata's daughter was in Brahmaloka, and when they returned to earth, yugas had passed. Revati natives often feel they exist slightly out of time, ancient souls in the present moment.

♃ Career

Work & Profession

Revati natives excel in all fields of compassionate service and creative expression. Natural vocations include spiritual counseling and guidance, working with animals, marine sciences and oceanography, music and fine arts, nursing and hospice care, travel and pilgrimage guidance, children's education and childcare, foreign languages and translation, philanthropic work, and any field that involves guiding lost souls to safety. Their Mercury rulership gives communicative gifts, while Pushan's gentle nourishment creates exceptional capacity for patient, loving service.

⊕ Health

Body & Wellness

Revati governs the feet and toes, the final destination of the body's journey. Pisces rules the feet, and Revati natives must give special care to this sensitive area. Common tendencies include foot conditions, immune system sensitivity, lymphatic issues, addiction tendencies from Pisces' escapist pull, mental health sensitivity including depression and anxiety, and sleep disorders from an overactive inner world. Revati natives benefit from foot care as a spiritual practice, walking meditation, foot massage, and pada seva (service to the feet of the divine).
